Airport Transfers
  • Barajas International Airport is 16 km. (10 miles) from Madrid.

  • Brussels National Airport, Zaventem is 12 km. (8 miles) from the city.

  • We can arrange for someone to be waiting for you with a sign to take you to your lodging. If you have a lot of luggage or are new to foreign travel we recommend this for security and comfort. This makes it so much easier when you arrive, especially if you are new to the city. For the cost of 75 Euros we guarantee that you will enjoy a smooth start to your vacation.

For Madrid
  • Metro (at Terminal 2 of the airport) Single ticket: 1 Euro plus 1 Euro for airport taxes.

  • Airport Bus to Plaza Colón (Metro: Colón). Runs every 10-15 minutes between 5:45 am and 9:30 pm daily. Price: one-way 3,85 Euros. Makes about 8 stops and takes approximately 1/2 hour to 45 minutes depending on the traffic.

  • Taxi: Abundant but sometime dishonest. A trip from the airport to the center of Madrid can cost between 18 and 25 Euros. Some extra fees for airport supplement, holiday supplement and after hours. Price information explained on a sticker in English and Spanish on the back door of all taxis. Check that the taximeter shows only 1,95 Euros before starting your journey (between 6 am and 10 pm). 

For Brussels
  • By train, Brussels Airport is less than twenty minutes from the city centre. From 06:00 till nearly midnight, the Airport City Express links the airport with Brussels Midi, Central and North four times an hour. A one-way ticket costs 2,60 Euros second class.

  • The train station is located in the basement (level -1) of the terminal building itself.

  • The Brussels bus company MIVB/STIB operates a bus link between the railway station Brussels-Luxemburg and the Brussels Airport. The number of stops on this new "Airport Line" is limited to five: - Schuman - Diamant - Genève - Germinal and NATO. This line operates on work days between 7.00 a.m. .and 8.00 p.m., three times per hour.

    • A single ticket costs 3 Euros (validity 1 hour on MIVB/STIB network).

    • This line has articulated buses with space for luggage storage.

  • Taxis (metered) are only available outside the Arrivals Hall. The fare between the airport and the centre of Brussels is normally around 29,75 Euros.

  • Licensed taxis can be identified by the yellow and blue licence emblem. ALWAYS AVOID UNLICENSED TAXIS!
